Bible Fellowship Groups

Bible Fellowship – Bible Fellowship is our time that we gather on Sunday mornings. We always come to the CLC, in the Back Room. Our fellowship and donuts starts at 9:00 am. When then break off into our classes. We have separate guys and girls classes for our Middle and High School students. However, our college students attend a coed class. There are many opportunities to participate with fun activities and mission work in our community as a Bible Fellowship class.

SNL – Salt-N-Light or SNL is our mid-week service for students from grades 7-12. It gives us a chance to come together and have a great time. We are able to recharge from a grueling week at school. We always have a time of worship and Bible study. We also often times will have games and videos. SNL meets each week in the Youth Room and Back Room at 6:00 pm. After SNL, we will always have a fun activity as well. We will play on the basketball courts or go on a fun outing to get ice cream or sno cones!

Camps – Camps are a very big part of how we reach our students here at Ridgeway Baptist. We’ve seen many of our students either come to Christ during a camp or make a deeper commitment to follow the Lord while there. We traditionally have two of these each year, one in the summer and winter. In the summer, we will go during the month of July and in the winter, we will go the week between Christmas and New Year’s. I really encourage your student to check it out. This is always a great time to bond as a group and grow in a closer and deeper relationship with the Lord.

Missions – Missions is a big part of our Student Ministry at Ridgeway. Generally, once a quarter our students are doing something to help spread the Gospel around our local community or the world. Our missions verse is Acts 1:8 and it states, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” We view our “Jerusalem” to be the city of Memphis. We see our “Judea and Samaria” to be the Mid-South. We’ve helped out churches in the state of Tennessee as well as Arkansas. To add some perspective to the different circumstances of people across our country and our world, to the “End of the Earth,” we experienced a trip upstate New York as well as reaching out as far away as Kenya where we support a child there through Compassion International.

Additional Opportunities – We make it a priority to help our students grow spiritually and relationally by hanging out. Once a month, during the school year, we will have SNAC (Sunday Night After Church) where we will hang out after service, whether this is going out to eat as a group or spending time doing an activity that we all enjoy. During the summer, SNAC happens every week. We also have Girl’s and Guy’s Bible studies that will take you deeper in God’s word. In addition to these we have DiscipleNow every February. This will allow the students to both hang out and have fun but grow deeper in their walk with Christ.
