Join the Worship Choir!
Worship Choir rehearsals will resume on Wednesday, August 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the choir room. Choir membership is open to those in the 9th grade up to 110 years old. After 110, you will probably be singing in the heavenly choir! Meanwhile, join us in leading worship to the Lord Jesus. We need YOU. We will begin rehearsing the Christmas music in August. Choir Retreat Information
The Worship Choir is having a Friday night, Saturday morning choir retreat August 16-17 in the Fireside Room in the CLC. Friday night will be 7:00-9:00. Saturday morning will be 9:00-11:00. We will primarily introduce and rehearse the Christmas music but will also do some vocal and choral technique as time permits. There is NO cost but we need to know how many will be there. If you’re not currently a choir member but you’ve been considering joining the choir, you are welcome and encouraged to come. Just let Bro. Rusty know ASAP.
Our purpose in the music ministry is to bring glory to Jesus Christ in singing praise to Him in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs accompanied by piano, organ, drums and guitars with choir led worship.
Our goal is to balance the old and the new by majoring on substance rather than style as we lift up Jesus, making His gospel message clear to all generations. We sing traditional hymns both in traditional ways and in contemporary ways. We sing both old and new worship songs that are relevant to the season and to the sermon series. We intentionally make much of Jesus in all of our music. Go to our Facebook page and watch 3 or 4 services and you will get a good idea of how we sing our worship to the Lord.
