This ministry involves people of all ages from first-graders to seniors. Its purpose is to involve people in the ministry of praise and worship. Through music, our goal is to teach music skills as well as spiritual truths. We believe that we are to sing “In psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord” – Colossians 3:16. With all ages, our goal is to train them to sing and praise the Lord by developing the talent and ability God has given them. We also seek to find ways of using people in the worship and praise of God. The items listed below will give you a description of the many varied music groups that are designed to glorify the Lord and accomplish His purposes. SANCTUARY CHOIR – This choir is the flagship of the music ministry. It is the choir that leads us each week in our worship and praise. People eleventh grade and older are invited to be a part of this volunteer choir. This group provides the leadership for our annual Christmas and Easter Pageants as well as our annual God and Country Day. It plays a vital role in the life of our church family through special music events throughout the year. All those who have a desire to be involved in the special music ministry by solos, duets, ensemble groups, etc. are asked to take a leadership role by being part of our choir ministry.
Praise Team – This is a group of adults who are involved in our Sanctuary Choir. They focus on presenting the gospel through current music and sing on a regular basis in our worship services, and on special occasions, with our Sanctuary Choir.
MEN’S TRIO – This group of men is involved in the Sanctuary Choir and sings both traditional and contemporary music. They focus on presenting the gospel through music, and sing on a regular basis in our worship services.
GOLDENAGER CHOIR – Our Goldenagers Choir is made up of senior adults who love to sing to the Lord. It is a great time of fellowship and praise as they sing to the Lord together. They meet twice a month and present an annual musical in the spring.
CHILDREN’S CHOIR – This choir is focused on children in the first thru fifth grades. Rhythm, melodies and harmony are taught through activities that help the children sing with confidence and joy! This choir sings along with the Sanctuary Choir in our annual Christmas Pageant. They also present a musical drama and sing during the year in our Sunday evening worship service.
